Lift out 1st to 4th selector shaft. Grab hold of the input shaft, output shaft and selector forks as one assy and lift out. The reverse gear should lift up and the whole gear cluster should come out like this. Lift out the reverse gear and differential assy. This is why this gearbox was making a noise, the usual Ford FWD gearbox failure.
Driving my mother's 2016 Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 125 this morning, came to a roundabout and found I couldn't change from 3rd to 2nd. Now, Take out the silver plate. Step 3: Now, go to your ford f150’s underneath and find out the shift linkage along with the cable. Now, Use a small screwdriver to remove the shift linkage along with the cable. Step 4: Now, If you have a new shift linkage, then place it here. However, You can also use the old one.
I have a Focus Mk 2 (2005) 1.6 TDCi which I have had from new. Very recently I have , occasionally, been experiencing difficulty in selecting 1st and 2nd gears. It works perfectly for 95% of the time and then when I select first gear I find I am in 3rd and when selecting 2nd gear I find I'm in 4t
3. Engine does not run. When a timing gear is going bad or failing, the camshaft and crankshaft may be unable to turn the timing chain. As a result the camshaft will be unable to turn in order to open and close the valves. Also, the crankshaft will be unable to turn in order to move the pistons up and down in the cylinders.
